BLOG: Legal and Ethical issues
I found the article from <http://motherboard.vice.com/blog/the-six-strikes-copyright-system-is-already-being-used-in-a-lawsuit>. the article is call The "Six Strikes" Copyright System Is Already Being Used in a Lawsuit
The article is about the "six strikes" copyright alert system. system can prevent those who want to steal copyright and illegal downloading. The system will issue a warning when those who want to illegally download. If they continue to download would be liable for.
Personally, I think this system is helpful. A lot of young people in ignorance of the case, even if copyright theft and illegal downloads do not know. So I personally feel that this system can prevent copyright piracy and illegal downloading. Copyright is very important. We should cherish each individual product.

I think this is a great system. Can you imagine if every company on the internet used this? It would be so hard to type anyting anymore. lol
ReplyDeleteI believe that illegal downloading must be stopped. By illegally downloading protected materials, people are cutting into profits that legitimate companies have worked hard to earn.
ReplyDeletei agree ,its so sad to see this happening
DeleteAlthough you make a great point, I am going to ave to disagree. Publishers are still making millions, if not billions from their product. An illegal download does not equal a lost sale.
ReplyDeleteWhile I do agree that illegal downloading should be avoided, I can see why people do it sometimes. Like, when it is impossible to find a legitimate copy of that old cartoon or favorite show of yours for whatever reason and the only possible way for you to obtain that old cartoon that brings back so many cherished memories is by downloading it illegally. I would.
